PASA House Concert Series

One of the longest running house concert series in the Philadelphia Area, for more than 20 years, PASA has presented its members in a true house concert setting. Since its creation by Rob Lincoln in 2000, more than 150 different performers have performed as a co-headliner.

Each concert features three PASA members as co-headliners, plus 8 to 12 "Open Chair" performers. Anyone who wants to play an original song can be an Open Chair performer. These shows are in round robin format, one song at a time and the Open Chair slots not only begin the show but also occur at the end of every round. There are usually seven rounds with an intermission in the middle.

NOTE: Doors open 30 minutes before concert start time. Please arrive early so we can start on time!

Performers:

Brent Ellison

Brent Ellison is an outstanding songwriter who writes impassioned songs in styles ranging from Country to Pop to Singer/Songwriter. His mellow, expressive voice enriches the poignancy of his eloquent lyrics, and his performances are truly a joy to hear. Brent grew up in Indonesia, and came to Philadelphia via Georgia and Texas. He has released two Indie CDs, "In This Moment" and "Harbor of Grace," and is preparing to record a third project.

Tobie Hoffman

Tobie Hoffman writes songs that touch on relationships with friends and family, news of the day, and the life of her spiritual community. In the tradition of Pete Seeger, be prepared at times to sing along in full harmony with music that can be personal, poignant, thought provoking, or silly. Whatever the mood, her performances are energized by her 20 year background in theater and dance. (And, oh yes, she's a Phillies phan.)

Ray Naylor

Ray Naylor has been performing since 1980 and writing songs a few years before that. He's performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival twice (1997 and 2017). In addition to performing, Ray has hosted 2 radio programs (1980-82 and currently on WPPM-FM in Philadelphia). He managed 3 performing songwriters in the 1990s, booked several small venues, and produced two concert series. He has also produced and hosted a YouTube program called "The Performing Songwriter" which ended in June 2018 after 100 shows.
You: The fourth performer can be YOU! The first eight (or so) performers to sign up at the show will sing one original song as part of the concert. This is an extra special OPEN STAGE SHOWCASE OPPORTUNITY, so bring along any instruments you'll want to play. The first people to arrive get to sign up first. The open stage slots often fill up, so come early to get a slot.
